Downloaded the skf file, and some "installer" tools, as well as documentation. Sorry, but I still have no clue how to get this to work on my vb5 project. Some basic help is needed here, this much is obvious from the other posts too.

OK. I've written my application. Now how do I "apply the SkinCrafter component to that application"? When I dl'ed and unzipped "Skincrafter", I got a .msi file. When I double click on this, it tries to open as a huge notepad document and freezes my pc up, even though it recognises the msi file as a microsoft installer package. And assuming I eventually get the installation right, will I end up with a .ocx or some component I can add to my project? And are all vb controls catered for in these skins? What about all the people complaining about it not seeming to support labels?
How to use it.....

Well i think i found a way......
I installed Skin Crafter (v 2.51 demo)
then goto Start -> Programs -> Ski Crafter win32 -> sample projects -> VB Project.....
once u run the VB application.... u'll get a form/window.... click on the File->Open.....
thereafter locate ur .skf file and the skin of the form changes......
I've not yet implemented this code in my VB6 application..... I'll try copying their code into my application... hoping it works

Okay, to use this skin:-
Install SkinCrafter in your development suite, write the application/program you want skinned, and apply the SkinCrafter component to that application/program.
This is not a "complete desktop" skin, nor is it a "I don't know how to write programs but I want to make everything look cool like that" tool.
To use this skin, you need to be the author of the software you want skinned.
If you want to skin your entire desktop with it, you need to have the source code and the knowledge and tools to compile that code.
This much is pretty obvious from the site, it does tell you which development environments it supports, if you want to use it outside those... Well, I guess you need to get someone who does use them to help you out.
Shame really. I fancied using it in Borland C++ Builder. :s
