 GUI Design Process
You provide us with necessary information, describing in full the work to be done. Please include whether this will be a .NET skin, a skin for VB or a skin for another application.
You may contact us via email. (Send us your rough GUI design sketches or screenshots if any.)
Cost and production time are estimated according to the information provided. They depend on complexity of the project being requested.
Having all the conditions agreed upon, a new GUI design is started and you approve each step of the process. For example, if you order a .NET skin, we would develop several style lines, send the .NET skin screenshots to you and request feedback. Revisions will be made until you approve the .NET skin you really like.
When payment has been remitted, the GUI design is delivered to you.
Skin Assembly
We are also able to offer skin assembly using images provided by you. An exact cost is calculated depending on the number of forms in the application.
Usually the graphics for processing are delivered to us in one of the following two ways:
layered .psd files of each form, where each layer represent all controls in one of the states
(layer1 - normal, layer2 - highlighted (mouseover), layer3 - pressed, layer4 - disabled, layer5 - focused)
a number of .bmp images, representing the states of all controls
(e.g. close-btn_n.bmp, close-btn_h.bmp, close-btn_p.bmp, close-btn_d.bmp, close-btn_f.bmp and so forth for all items)
If you would like the standard dialogs (FileOpen dialog etc.) and message boxes to be skinned, additional graphics from you will be required and additional fees apply.
Skin Integration
Cost will be quoted on an individual project basis depending on application type (.NET skin, skin for VB, etc.) you want to integrate a skin into (including integration of SkinCrafter, debugging, etc).
We require the source code of your actual application as it gives us the best chance to debug the skin. We will gladly sign a standard NDA to ensure that your source code for the GUI design will not be used or distributed by our company.
