Splitter control

      This article explains how to change completely the graphical appearance of the Splitter component using SkinBuilder functionalities (to skin Splitter control). The main purpose is to achieve the skinning result you desire.

       You may follow our example:

      Techniques described in this article can be applied only to Splitter control due to a peculiarity of the attributes list in "Properties pane":

      • Border Image is intended for borders in a skinned frame.

      • Horizontal Splitter Bar property allows an image to be embedded for horizontal line skinning.

      • Vertical Splitter Bar property requires an image embedding for vertical line skinning.

      • Intersection Splitter Bars property skins the intersection area.

      • Horizontal Splitter Box property skins a horizontal separator by resizing the objects above and below. It can (for example) be used to separate two grids in a simple split window.

      • Vertical Splitter Box property assists to skin a vertical separator by resizing the objects on the left and objects on the right.

      Described properties list requires importing pre-created graphics to the appropriate fields. This procedure is carried out by clicking on "Browse" button () and selecting a necessary image in "Select file" window. Margins and Drawing mode modification is available for all inserted images too.
